Blackfeet authorizes 14-day mandatory shut down of entire reservation due to Covid-19

SEPTEMBER 24, 2020 – 3:00 P.M.

PUBLIC NOTICE FROM THE BLACKFEET TRIBAL BUSINESS COUNCIL

Due to the rising numbers of active COVID-19 cases on the Blackfeet Reservation, the Blackfeet Tribal Business Council, in an emergency meeting today, authorized a 14 day mandatory shut down of the entire reservation beginning Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.

This will allow individuals to get supplies they need.

The shut down was based upon the recommendation by our Public Health Officials. For every 2 tests, 1 is positive.

Blackfeet Community Hospital will also be going back to a Phase 1 closure.

Everyone needs to take this serious. Reservation wide, there are 83 active cases as of today and a few hundred on quarantine. COVID-19 can affect everyone, regardless of age or health.

Law Enforcement will be on full force to cite and fine individuals not complying with the shut down.

COVID-19 Supplemental Services checks will be mailed due to safety concerns

PUBLIC NOTICE – SEPTEMBER 10, 2020:

Due to health & safety concerns, all COVID-19 Supplemental Services checks will be mailed.  There will not be any in person distribution.  Remember, there is a 3-4 week turn around for a check to be processed.  If you need to correct your address or have other questions, please contact the Manpower Application Center at any of the following numbers:
