The Blackfeet Tribal Business Council hereby offers their sincerest condolences to the family members of the deceased Blackfeet Tribal members and residents of the Blackfeet Reservation due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Blackfeet Nation is suffering great sorrow and grief due to the losses of our community and family members. In order to alleviate some of the burden due to these losses, the Blackfeet Tribal Business Council has appropriated funds to cover funeral/mortuary costs of those loved-ones service’s up to $5,000.00 each from March 15, 2020, to December 30, 2020, by the U.S. Treasury Cares Act funds. Such funds expire on December 30, 2020, unless extended by U.S. Congress or a second round of funding is made available. In any event, the Blackfeet Tribe will make all efforts to ensure costs related to COVID-19 funeral/mortuary services are covered.
Funerals that have already taken place can still submit an application.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Blackfeet Treasurer.
Our sincerest condolences on behalf of the Blackfeet Tribe:
